## Defaults

The system host name is empty by default.

## Usage Guidelines

An Island may be given a unique and descriptive name to distinguish it from other Islands. The hostname will be used as the CLI prompt. It is also used to when auto-generating file names for some commands (e.g., [backup url](/island-router-cli-2.3.2/commands/backup/backup-url.md)).
